In the Naruto universe power is measured by letter grades. Here, we will determine letter grade by experience. The more experience you gain, the higher the letter grade you will be.
You could be a S ranked genin, sure, but you will have had to work for that honor just like jounin will have to work for S rank. In other words, no matter your name rank, your letter rank can be different than in the show.
"But that's not canon" Sure it isn't, but it helps measure power and gives you something to work for. After all, people have to get stronger to move forward.
No matter your letter rank, you can do missions of ranking depending on your character's rank name (genin, chunin, ect). For example, a genin would not take an A rank mission. The only exceptions to this are where it is canon.
D Rank :: 0/100exp
C Rank :: 100/300exp
B Rank :: 300/600exp
A Rank :: 600/1000exp
S Rank :: 1000exp
Gaining exp relies on your own personal rp skill. Threads are graded based on quality, not quantity. You can write a long thread with two or three other people and still get a low grade if all you write is 'u r a dumbo hed' over and over again. Not to mention that would be spamming and against the rules. No matter if the thread is a fight or a meet and greet or even a mission we will take into account the following:
Sportsmanship- taking hits, not auto hitting, treating the other rper with respect ooc.
Ability to hold reader interest- and interesting rp that makes one want to read more.
Legibility- Spelling, grammar, text formatting, ect.
Characterization- Characters are true to the profiles. Canons are true to the anime.
Creativity- Use your environment properly, unique solutions to problems, not a cookie cutter post.
Keeping this in mind, you can get five points just for making a good thread. After that you can gain three bonus points based on the grader's opinion. If they think the thread was alright they can give you one point, if they really liked it they can give you two. If the thread just blew them away with how awesome it was they can give you three. It is difficult to get that third point.
